it was amazing
bookshelves: thrillers-suspense
Read in January, 2009

This book is listed as an Elvis Cole, but it's more about Joe Pike and his childhood, how he got to be what he is now. It's my favorite Crais book, though I really like his standalones. After reading The Watchman, I was looking for more Joe Pike stories. If you like tough, uncompromising heroes with an occasional soft spot, you'll love this book.
