Ugh, I'm putting this back down again! I don't know what it is...I like the book, but I don't seem to be able to read more than 100 pages at a time! So I'm putting it down again and will hopefully read the last 100 pages sometime in 2008. The great thing about this book, actually, is that you CAN put it down and pick it up whenever you want. It's basically a chronological account of salt's role in different economies, cultures, etc, so you're not missing anything by putting it down for a while. So on to the next one...for now :)
