** spoiler alert ** Dark Angel was kind of creepy. Sometimes I wish I could have someone navigating my every move, making my every wish come true, but the whole time I had goosebumps. I knew there would be consequences. I'm glad that it wasn't as sinister as it could have been in the end.

The Chosen reminded me of the animated fight between a man and woman done a la The Matrix. Everybody has a story. No one can be judged on one moment in time. People change. I felt a complete turn around in my dislike of Quinn, and I loved The Cat's character. She rocked.

Let's see, human and a lamia vampire; lamia vampires and human brother and sister; witch and a human; lost witch and a human; vampire and a vampire hunter; reincarnated human and the first made vampire, all become soulmates so far. But now the reason is given that old magic is returning so it's not so rare anymore.

The third book had a reunion of sorts in that all the soulmates were brought together in one place to meet the latest soulmate made. After having glimpses of Thierry's name in the previous books it was interesting to learn his backstory. I was sad about Maya, though. She was the first vampire ever! Yeah, she was evil, but no one seemed to mourn her. Poor girl.
