It’s been a while since I’ve read these books so this is a series review.
I liked the series. Some books were better than others, but overall a fun read. As an epic tale, there are multiple story lines. Butcher does a great job weaving them together. I liked all the main characters except for the Vord, the main antagonist. I remember being happy when I was through with them after the first book. Imagine my disappointment when they returned in the second.
I like that in the first three (or was it four) books Tavi relied on his wits and imagination to conquer his foes while his special abilities developed slowly over time.
My biggest grievance with this series is the copyediting. There were many typos including one instance of a backslash used in place of an l’s. It detracted from and pulled me away from the story. However, this did get better with each book.
