It's funny that even though I've only re-read two Stephen King books in the last 20 years, he can still suck you into a story pretty brilliantly. I learned that Peter Straub and he made this "20 years after The Talisman" sequel while reading The Talisman graphic novel version a few weeks back.
Black House is a book that reminded me why I couldn't stand psycho thrillers for YEARS...it's books like this that trip my mind up.
The Fisherman is a cannibal serial killer who abducts children for more than his own malicious means. Jack Sawyer was the 12 year old hero from the Talisman, and now he's back as a ex-homicide cop who may be the only person to save the day in a small Wisconsin town.
Equal elements of horror and fantasy; and the Territories to make an appearance, though perhaps not as much as I would have liked. The minor characters are plentiful and really well-rounded and interesting.
