it was amazing
bookshelves: children, young-adult, childhood-favorites

i tried to live this book out a million times. seriously. only i never had a boxcar. it was depressing. but otherwise, this was one of my favorite books ever. keeping the milk cold in the stream!

Melody I learned about these books from Chinaberry Books when my daughter was young. We read a few together and found them very charming. Well, at least I did. I would have loved to have lived on my own in a boxcar cooling milk in the stream as a child - but I think my daughter just found them a little pitiful.
