This book was more about repression of the two characters than the actual mystery. Hoyt is a hit or miss with me and while this fell on the "not miss side", I felt something was lacking. Maybe because the sexual "perversion" was not what I thought and the fact that the Makepeace clan called each other "sister" and " brother" instead of by their names creating a distance between both the reader and with the characters.
