This book was amazing. I highly recommend it. It looks at motivation theory and what really motives people. Pink talks about motivation 2.0, the carrot and stick form of motivation and says that we are moving into motivation 3.0 which has to do with autonomy, mastery, and purpose.

Here's a quote from the book jacket, "The secret to high performance and satisfaction at work, at school, and at home-is the deeply human need to direct our own lives, to learn and create new things, and to do better by ourselves and our world."

I really liked Pink's writing style and will have to check out his other books.
