Three Fates

by Nora Roberts
Another Nora cracker.
I am not going to tell the whole story in this review as Nora fans will read it anyway. and non Roberst fans should read it anyway too.
I must say though that I think her addition of the sex bits is actually completely unnecessary. These books of hers are not romances; they are adventure books, quest books, simply fun story books. The silly sex is for me the only part of the book that lets it down.
The only time I do not like the characters is when the often strong independant women become silly wimps because a man demands he will have them. The men become neaderthal morons most modern women who give their marching orders.
The rest of the story is so modern, with strong female characters and men who actually feel and are human too - and then the dumb sex scenes are so 1940s.
Maybe this is what lovers of romance want, but then do they read the adventure bits too or just wait for the next bit of sex?
I am obviously pretty much alone in this opion and Roberts is very popular. I just skip the sex bits so I can keep respecting the characters.
