** spoiler alert ** I absolutely love the Dreg city books, they're what got me into reading UF and PNR and I love the world Kelly Meding's crafted for the story. Evy Stone is one tough as nails bad kick your ass character and she is one of the best protagonists I've ever read about. I think she's also one of the strongest characters, always at war with herself with her inner feelings and sense of duty but never losing sight of her own morals and the people she cares about. I enjoyed seeing her branch off away from the Triads and the new organization she creates with her friends at the end of the book.

Also one of the highlights of this book -> Phineas el Chimal. I enjoyed seeing him reappear as he was a significant character in the last book. He's become a really well rounded character and I'm glad he's incorporated in the plot quite a big. I have to admit that I like reading about him more than Wyatt whose presence isn't as dominant as I thought it'd be, considering that this book is from Evy's point of view.

This book was definitely worth the wait and I'm dying to read the next book. It wasn't as fast paced as the other two where Evy was on the brink of death so I'm glad for the slower stream of events. Overall, I loved every minute of it, I sat on edge for most of it and the world just pulled me in from the first page.

Kelly Meding
“You're alive." Wyatt's voice had never sounded so...small. "You were dead, but Christ, Evy, you're alive.”
