I love a VLT series! I thought this one was okay but reminded me of some Linda Lael Miller books.

Good to know as I haven't read many by her. I thought this was the second book in the series, not the last, so I'll have to go back and read that one too. The first was OK too. I'm halfway through this and liking it. I've got in on audiobook so it is an easy listen while driving.
I thought the second one of this series might have been the strongest of the three. August was the first month I'd ever bought HQ Blaze books (I got the One-Click for kindle). I gave four of the six Blaze offerings from August 4 stars, which is unusual for me. One I haven't read yet, and The Tutor I didn't care for, but AAR gave it a good rating. Anyway, I actually thought these books were better than the Miller I've read. (I've only read her contemporary books.)
