Checked the audio book out of the library

a short little introduction on how Stephen got back into writing short stories -- funny, it didn't seem he really ever stopped...

a ghost story. It was all right. Nothing spectacular

The Gingerbread Girl
I liked this story a lot. It reminded me a bit of Lisey's story (and only partially because it is also read by Mare Winningham) -- a story about dealing with loss

Harvey's Dream
creepy story. Reminded me of the Tiger or the Lady (a great what-if story) In fact I think this one ends in much the same way.

Rest Stop
We all have that alter ego we can call on when needed...some of us just have a more developed version of that ego. Nice story

Stationary Bike
I have read this story before, not sure where. It is still good, and has a moral -- everything in moderation. I liked it again.

The Things They Left Behind
A Sept 11 story. I really liked this story, I even got a little teary at the end.

Graduation Afternoon
interesting. I kind of thought of this one as a story starter...there are so many places this story could take us..and most of them not really happy places

creepy story centered around OCD -- had some feeling of The Tell-Tale Heart as well as The Ring. GOOOD!!

The Cat from Hell
Beware the cat.

The New York Times at Special Bargain Rates
I liked this story of getting just a little more time. A ghost story, but way better than Willa

Be careful what you wish for. An interesting story about a hitchhiker

Miracles happen, but what if it were ordinary people who had the power, and just kept it secret, and they only had it for a little while. Interesting.

A Very Tight Place
EWWWW. A trapped story. Not sure I liked the ending, it seemed a little too easy, would have liked something more satisfying.

Sunset Notes
Just a few words about where each story came from. I like it.
