Ten Things I Love About You (Bevelstoke, #3)

10 things that came to my mind while reading this book:
1) It is not always easy to come up with an idea for a joke that you could pull through the book without making it show how hard the author tries to be funny. Forcing your characters to make lists in their heads that are supposed to be funny, but are really a bit hard to follow and seem too obviously cutesy and honestly not funny...and a bit annoying to read...time to try something else...
2)I think I'm outgrowing Quinn books, at first i remember laughing even loud in some places when i started reading them, now with each new book, im less and less impressed. Either im getting old or the style and idea is getting old.
3) I think the core audience of readers who would enjoy this volume consist of teenagers who dream of being kissed and old-school romance lovers who like things soft, mellow and a bit Cartland innocent.
4)I wonder if Quinn is capable of writing a different kind of romance, because i don't think shes a bad writer, i think England's all out of star-crossed lovers of ton who choose love and happily marry in a world and age where convenience marriage was almost the only choice.
5)The people who live in Quinns world are like cartoon characters, with exaggerated characteristic properties that should endear them to us, but only just leave them bland.
6) The wounded soul of a war hero shtick= yawn
7) I still consider this to be a better book by times ten than the last one, at least dialog was there and couple of comedic moments with a fat grabby pervert who gets what he deserves are always fun.
8) Im out of things to say, thats the problem with making lists
9) and 10) If you're a quick reader you can try this one, if not, wait until you are and then try this one. Maybe.
