Not many likeable characters in this novel...everyone flawed to some degree...especially the main character. Even at the very end Undine still wants more...thinking that if only she were an ambassador's wife, then she would be truly happy. I love the whole scope of the she goes through several husbands and ends up where she sort of began. Gives great insight into the lives of the wealthy. Makes me want to read more Wharton.
