-While the terrorist attacks on 9/11 showed mankind’s capability for inflicting pain and suffering, this book demonstrated the other side of the coin-namely service to others in need. Almost nine years after the tragedy, I’m still hearing stories of courage, kindness and even humor, which are highlighted in this book.

-People are basically good; I think more books should be written about people that demonstrate basic human kindness instead of all the terrible things happening.

-The story answers how the diverted passenger’s coped with landing in a strange country. The fear must have been great. Knowing the people on the ground welcomed them soothes the feelings of that day.
