Marshmallows for Breakfast
by Dorothy Koomson
by Dorothy Koomson
This book features a depressed heroine who slowly begins to heal in part by her relationship with the 7 year old twin children of her landlord. Not at all a light fluffy book as you might think from the cover, it deals with rape, divorce, alcoholism, etc. I really enjoyed the author's previous book "My Best Friend's Girl" so found this one somewhat disappointing. The main character was so closed off emotionally for most of the book that she made for a strange narrator. A good read but not a great one.
