River Marked (Mercedes Thompson, #6)
by Patricia Briggs
by Patricia Briggs
I do so love Patricia Briggs. There were some transition and conversation issues that may be attributable to the eBook, or confusion based on a story where several people have the ability to appear without warning (i.e. - Several times in the story I had to backtrack to understand who was speaking or when then appeared), and those were the only reason this book is 4.5 stars rather than 5.
Loved this glimpse of Adam and Mercy's honeymoon, I look forward to every opportunity where I can see them together. They have the makings of a beautiful partnership.
I enjoyed glimpses of Mercy's childhood, as well as the introduction of Coyote. He is a wonderful character, and Briggs gracefully tied him into the story without diluting his power or mystery. Given her deft handling of Zee and other fae in the past, I'm not suprised.
A wonderful story and a treasured addition to this world, I enjoyed this book immensely. Also, I won't lie, I cried a little bit at the end, right alongside Mercy.
