bookshelves: dystopian, post-apocalyptic, young-adult-childrens

Kept my interest while I was reading it but, thinking back, I can't say it was particularly memorable. The prologue which takes place as the plague breaks out was a good set-up but I'd almost rather have had the story take up at that point instead of jumping ahead 30 years. I did like the central character, Kellan, though. Would not mind revisiting this society dominated by women.
