Ellis is currently a huge fan of the Five Little Monkey books by Eileen Christelow. After reading them a gajillion times, I'm beginning to really appreciate their genius and suitability for his age of 2 and a half. Repetition of action and of language is key and make them fun to read aloud, to read in ASL, and to act out on our own or with our new handy-dandy 5 Little Monkey finger puppets. Not to mention the hilarious illustrations of the rascally monkeys.

See also: Five Little Monkeys Sitting in a Tree,
Five Little Monkeys with Nothing to Do, Five Little Monkeys Play Hide-and-Seek, Five Little Monkeys Wash the Car, and Five Little Monkeys Go Shopping
