it was amazing

I love this book. For about 30 seconds it made me want to be a journalist (until I remembered the line from the movie about Woodward marking time writing about rat shit in restaurants and realized real live journalism is more like that than like the rest of the book. Most of the time.)

The book goes further than the movie in the timeline and is an exceptionally readable account of the Woodward and Bernstein story as well as an understandable account of the basic structure of that which we call Watergate.

A remarkable book.

(The final days, by Woodstein is not as compelling, but worth reading as well.)
