Behemoth is the sequel of Leviathan. Set in an alternate WW1 era, the novel follows Deryn and Alek two unlikely friends who come to trust each other despite their differences (which are many) and the fact that they should be enemies. As per usual, Mr. Westerfeld is not only a master story teller, but a creator of awe-inspiring settings, beautifully written dialogue, and awesome plot twists and turns. His imagination is a force to be reckoned with as he brings Darwinist and Clanker creations to life, pitting two fundamentally different foes against each other which creates a delightful tension to his tale. Overall, I could go on and on and on about how much I adore this series, but I'll attempt to boil it down to one simple sentence:

Beautifully illustrated and wonderfully written, Behemoth is an action-packed page turner that brings a new twist to history and makes it mark upon the literary world.

In summation: This book is AWESOME and you should read it NOW! No, seriously, what are you waiting for? The end.

AH How are you liking this one?

Angela So far, very much so. I'm only a 100 pages in, but they flew by. I forgot what a quick read these were, and the artwork is so much fun! I'm such a kid.
