Picked it up on whim since there was a basketball player on the cover and it noted that the author was a Pulitzer Prize winner.

Turns out it is the best sports book out there. No romanticism, well-written, honest, no absurd argument presented. Just an amazing even-handed (though at times justifiably outraged) account of an AAU basketball team over several years, its star player, its coach and the basketball talent/hype machine. The exploitation and greed is appalling. George Dohrmann does an exceptional job not only with the stellar crafting of the book, but his dedicated journalism involved with its creation. Highly recommended for sports fans and social justice junkies.
