I'm not quite sure how I feel about this book. On the one hand, it was a riveting ride to the finish. However, it started off a bit slow and felt like a chore to get through the first quarter of the book. I get why the beginning was there, I just don't think that it needed to be so long to set up various plot points that came to light later in the book.

A few times I considered putting the book down and walking away as it was slow going through the beginning. But, after about the halfway point, I found it increasingly difficult to stop reading. So much so that I ended up staying up until 2am to read the last quarter of the book.

The ending chapters, however, were tense and really left me wishing it wasn't so late so that I could have started in on book 3. All in all, I do not regret reading the book, just with that the beginning could have been streamlined a little bit so it did not drag on.
