What was I thinking in college when I took an ENTIRE semester-long class on the Inferno? What circle of hell is that? I didn't actually read this edition, but I can't put on my shelf the edition I did read, because it wasn't published. The professor made us read his own translation, which we had to purchase from a copy shop. At least it rhymed. I like rhyme.

Linda M Dorothy Sayers translated this and it is adored by someone in my house. . .

Skylar Burris I'm sure that's a better translation than the one I read. Nevertheless...life is too short. I have to admit Dante's something I WANT to like, not something I ACTUALLY like.
