The Hollow (Hercule Poirot #25)
by Agatha Christie
by Agatha Christie
Not my favorite Christie, but still a good mystery. Poirot is quite incidental to this novel - he only appears about halfway through - and, though he does figure out who's behind the crime, the story here is more about the psychology of those involved. You get much more inner dialogue from the main characters about what they're feeling and this adds to the slower pace. Since I listened to the audio version, this made the book just drag in several places. Good if you've got some time on your hands.
