This book combined two of my favorite things - the history and advancement of medical science AND a very personal look at the impact of one person and their life. It would be hard to think of a more unlikely person (Henrietta Lacks) to be connected to the greated boon in medical progress, but that is where the magic lies. This is a fantastic look at the history of medicine, race issues, poverty, and family connected by one person's cells. Loved the book.

Mary I had to return this to the library - I started it, put it down, then it was due! (or so it seemed :) How do you like it?

Kelly I'm afraid I'm going to be in the same boat. I got it from the library with every intent to start it that night and I still haven't cracked it!
