I don't consider myself addicted to food, although I certainly need to lose some weight, so this book was only moderately helpful. Still, there were some small nuggets of insights and revelations and some aha experiences that I gained that made reading this book beneficial. It is about trusting your body, eating when you are hungry, and stopping when you are full, and paying attention to those sensations instead of using food to stifle your emotions. A little bit too long winded and new agey.
