This was a truely and utterly wonderful book. I couldn't put it down.

I liked all of the main characters; from the contemptable Hilly, the honourable Aibileen; the grouchy Minny to the aestetically disadvantaged Skeeter. I thought they were all well-developed and (unusually for this kind of set up) I never though "oh great its another Aibileen part" but relished the change of narrator throughout.

Usually there are parts of a book and choices made by characters that I disagree with or at least dislike. This book really had none of these.

A true gem. Thank you so much Kirstabelle for suggesting it!
