bookshelves: post-university-reads

** spoiler alert ** Hmm, I gobbled this book up in 2 days, probably because of the short, easy to read paragraphs. A few issues: it's written in 3rd person but is clearly focused on the main character, Sydney... While I can appreciate the time and talent it takes to write in 3rd person which such vividness and attention to detail, I feel that it didn't work in this case. Many of the characters remained a mystery to me. I would have loved to see some sort of resolution between the brothers or even hear what Jeff had to say for himself, where he is, what he decided to do. One can assume that Sydney ended up with Ben, but who knows. What will her former/almost mother in law say? I put the book down feeling pretty let down. Perhaps she will write a sequel? I feel as if I eavesdropped on a girlfriend filling in her friend at a coffee shop but was forced to leave mid-conversation and was left wondering what happened. Hmm...
