I've decided I like his books because they connect concepts and ideas that aren't usually connected. Very fascinating series of essays. How are the dog whisperer and autism related? What about cancer and birth control and scientific method? What about the quarterback problem and finding the best teachers? Fighting crime and generalizations about dog breeds? Many of the essays discuss research that goes against your gut instinct - all kinds of who knew.
