This is a collection of the Heart of Hush arc of Detective Comics from Paul Dini and Dustin Nguyen. I liked Nguyen's art style as it is different from the norm and Dini is one of the best Batman writers having worked on the Batman animated series.

The problem with this story is all in the ending. Everything is thrilling and great until the final act. Hush's plan is quite exciting, but the way it ends just seems very untrue to the Hush character and forced so as to get a certain outcome. Had the ending been handled better I would definitely recommend this. The way it is now though I would just say that it is a fun, but flawed read.

This story does set up some plot threads that have continued in the ongoing batman monthly comics so it is worth a read if you are interested in knowing what is going on with Batman at this time.
