** spoiler alert ** Righteous!
I was dragged into the middle of this series, blind , and immediately fell in love with both the characters and the 'terms of the universe' Ms. Banks uses. I was like a vamp starved for their first blood. I waited impatiently and it was well worth it!
The little thing that irk me was...
I WANT to know how things start. I found myself looking both to the front of the book and at the back cover numerous times to check if it was the first book in the series or not. I felt as if I had walked into the movie 10 minutes into the film. Damali and her guardians are a posse already,we dont get to see hw they came together or when she found out what she is. In fact most of that is still unknown at the end of this book. I think part of this being a negative is from having read 2 books in the late middle of the series and have hoped to learn how everyone came into their own as is were. This book does relate enough of the past, but I am starved for more, and must endure. lol
