This was written from the point-of-view of a recently released murderer who served 30 years. He moves to Watts, CA to get away from where he did his crime, in the mid-west. Socrates Fortlow describes his first year of life out of prison. I found this book engaging and it seemed to me to truly reflect life in Watts. A tough read, but worthwhile.
