This is a cute story of a Grandmother taking in a total of 6 teens to teach them how to be Proper ladies and beautiful women, yet Grandma has no experience with teens. DJ is her actual granddaughter and her Grandmother expects more out her than the other girls. All the girls are different in their own way, and at the end of the book the author throws in a bit a religion. Basically, the book is about the difficulty of growing up for girls and how they deal with what life throws them. Its Good.
