bookshelves: mystery, thriller
Read in July, 2010

Better than Rules of Prey the first book in the series. Still not a real fan of the character of Lucas Davenport. He seems like a horny SOB who only thinks of himself. Really no redeeming qualities about him. The story was interesting enough. I am going to give the next book in the series a try. I am not ready to give up on him yet.

Rachel I'm getting the 80s from the first book. The women are as skanky as he is a horny SOB and when he tries to do the right thing by the one he l knocked up (by her choice, he was not consulted) she rebukes him. WTF

These books came out just before Magic Johnson announced he had AIDS. Before Magic it was a gay disease. That is how people behaved.

It'll be interesting to see if Lucas' behavior changes in the books released in 1992 and beyond.
