Blankets is a beautiful work of art, a serious novel about adolescence (and growing up), brotherhood, and religion (but maybe not faith). The artwork is very evocative and effective, lending real emotion, movement, and poignancy to the characters' struggles. And Craig, the insecure protagonist, is a little too familiar to me, and probably will be to any reader. This is an excellent book about growing up in America.
