Would recommend: Maybe

I was mostly interested in reading Julie and Julia to see how a blog transitioned to print, and unfortunately, I thought this transition was rather clunky. The colloquial, loose frame of a blog doesn't translate all that well to a narrative book, but I'm not sure how much editorial tweaking was involved. I was thrown off by the profanity and sexual references, but in the end, the enormity of Julie's feat was admirable enough to warrant a mostly-positive experience for me.
