An insightful review of an extraordinary life. Queen Isabella was married to Edward II, who lived and reigned during the time of William Wallace. She is vilified for having had her husband taken off the throne because he was accused of being controlled by his gay lover and then taking a lover herself. Or is it a case of pushing someone too far? This version seems to be more well-rounded. Many historians call her a she-wolf instead of showing the good she may have done. Isabella's brother was the King of France. He died without an heir, and Isabella's furthering of her son as the King of France was the main cause of the 100 year war between France and England.
