Rama Revealed (Rama, #4)
by Arthur C. Clarke, Gentry Lee
by Arthur C. Clarke, Gentry Lee
Read the first book in this series and don't waste your time with the rest. This fourth in the series was a slog from beginning to end, with lots of lame dialogue, pointless detail that never goes anywhere, and a disappointing ending.
I wish I'd just left it at Rendezvous with Rama, which is vintage Arthur C. Clarke. (That book is worth 20 of these sequels!) Lesson Learned: Never trust a book with more than one author.

Thanks for that. I was thinking of picking up this series but I'll take your advice and just read the first one.

I loved this book (more so than the other sequels, but still enjoyed those too)The sequels aren't terrible, they're just not the same sort of sci-fi clarke typically does (focused on the science). These are more about human-alien interactions, it gives you a way to look at humanity and see our shortcomings.
It's a different type of book. And if it's not your cup of tea than so be it, but that doesn't mean it's garbage. I greatly enjoyed all the details about the other species.
