With only one more book to go until Rose's journey finally comes to an end, Spirit Bound sets us up for the epic conclusion in surprising and unexpected ways. Rose must find a way to release Viktor Dashkov from vampire prison in order to find out the secret to bring Dimitri back from the dead.
This book is by far the best paced, strapping the reader in just before Rose's graduation, taking them on a wild ride throughout the gang's adventures and then throwing them off a cliff for the gut wrenching ending.
I won't spoil any of it for you, but this installment of the Vampire Academy series was really well done. I was very impressed with where Mead is taking the story and how she is almost forcing Rose to grow up and not be so selfish. It is no secret Rose isn't my favorite character ever, but she definitely steps it up this time around.
The next and final book in the series, Last Sacrifice promises to be everything we've been waiting for and more. Can't wait to read it and find out how Rose and Dimitri's story ends!
