I don't think 3 stars is right, but I can't quite give it 4 stars either, because it makes me feel so unsettled. I really liked the voice of the author--she is comfortable. I also found her easy to believe (which is unusual for me). I like that she says what she feels, despite not quite pleasing completely any one political party (I can't help but relate with that).

But, it leaves me very sad that her solution to solving the problems of her youth and troubled countries was to decide not to believe in God. It is an easier answer, I'll admit...I just wish she had considered other worship options other than just Fundamentalist Islam vs. atheist.

I recommend it. I learned a lot to add to my current understanding of the situation.
