really enjoyed this book. It doesn't just skip over the problems of the evangelical church, but it doesn't miss out on its strengths, either, which seem to be hard to find in the literature that's out today. The most valuable thing to take away from it, is what Kevin says when he states he appreciates the emergent critique of the church today but their prescribed cures that are frightening.
I tended to like Ted's chapters better, but that's just me. Everything worth underlining is in Kevins, but Ted's are much easier and more humorous and communal. I loved the testimonies of ordinary people in these "post-Enlightenment churches" being authentic in an age where so many people feel like they have to work at making things "authentic."
