Oh look honey, another humor book with a title irrelevant to its contents... Books like these generally burn my biscuits but someone recommended it to me -- actually she put it directly into my hands; I didn't have to lift a single finger. I did have to open them, though, and what a mistake that turned out to be!

The book was written by Simon Rich. He has previously written stuff for Mad magazine, The New Yorker, The Harvard Lampoon, and SNL, only the Lord knows how...

During the course of reading this book I laughed four times (yes, I counted) at a total of 54 sketches (yes, I counted...). That's approximately 0.074 laughs per sketch! (well, I had a calculator do all the work on that one).

I'd say this book seeks most of its humor in the revelation of the macabre and lurid among the everyday. Turns out even free-range chickens are slaughtered in the end...Turns out the ducks in that old video game don't really like to be shot... Turns out... you know what? I'm turning in...

Good night...and have a pleasant tomorrow.
