nice novella, talks about a woman that had no interest in anything, she had fears of an unknown GIT lesion, she is always cold in her feelings towards others and miss the familial bonds. a free time that does not know what to do with it. and she inherited a Clock and a chair from her dead mother as well as her diaries. she had no good relation with her husband not with her only daughter who was pregnant and discover that from her brother. she found an interest in asking a detective to follow her and then read his reports about her while he did not know whom he was following nor the reason for his work. she asks him to write his own beliefs, emotions and feeling. she started writing her diaries. she was an addict as well as her husband. he had his own sexual adventures. at last she discovered herself after looking for someone who understand her. she left her husband whom she was not appreciating his job to give her prestigious life. she changed her look and lived in a new apartment and a new life as she likes.
