Pros: A fan of the setting - love turn of the 20th century NYC. Edith Wharton (liked the nod with the aunt's name) is a fave, so this was enjoyable. Character development was ok, understood all the people and what made them tick. Teens might like recognizing the parallels between high society in this era vs. how it is depicted now in Gossip Girl, etc.

Cons: Nothing really happened in this book. For as many pages as there were it felt like it was leading up to the ending and that's when the story finally got started. Definitely felt like the setup for sequels.
