This wasn't one of my favorite Stephanie Plum stories. There weren't as many laugh out loud funny moments. I'm finding the waffling between Ranger and Morelli starting to wear a little thin. Make a choice already!

There is the usual cast of kooky characters that Stephanie is trying to round up. This story focused more on the girl power triumverate of Stephanie, Lula and Connie as they try to save Vinnie. He's been kidnapped because of huge gambling debts and will be killed if they don't come up with an outrageous sum of money. (Why anyone would care if Vinnie was killed is a little beyond me...) Outrageous sums of money calls for outrageous actions. Evanovich doesn't let us down on that front!
