As I was reading this book, I was also reading "Nobody Don't Love Nobody" by Stacey Bess, a teacher in a homeless school in Salt Lake City. Both books are thought provoking and have given me a new perspective on homeless people. In many ways, I am repulsed by the filth, and inability to rise above their circumstances, yet I realize that I don't know all the facts and must not judge. I also feel that if there is something I can do to ease their burden, I will do it.
