The further adventures of Lady Georgiana Rannoch, 34th in line for the thrown. This one takes place in Scotland at Balmoral and Castle Rannoch and features two Scottish cousins, which I enjoyed immensely. I love this well written series for its period details and spunky heroine, and on those fronts Royal Flush does not disappoint. My only complaints are these: the number of characters in this one got a little unwieldy, and I'm getting a bit tired of the Georgie and Darcy will they or won't they. As for the characters, I like a big suspect pool as much as the next reader, but it got a touch cumbersome to keep tabs on everybody. And as for Georgie and Darcy, I'd say they've got about one more novel to either get it on or move on. Still, a romp through the highlands is good fun, the reader learns a bit more about Georgie's uptight sister-in-law Fig, and the future Queen Elizabeth makes an appearance.
If you're looking for a delightful historical mystery, the Royal Pain series is still highly recommended.
