it was ok
bookshelves: do-not-reread, horror, immortals, shapeshifters, urban-fantasy, vampires

Not much of a plot to this one. The vampire council comes to town to investigate why Jean Claude did not take over the council seat he earned when they killed Oliver, earth mover. There is a lot about her relationship with Jean Claude and Richard. there is a lot of exploration of her expanding powers as she turns into a succubus. She is becoming the protector of the weaker monsters.

I like the exploration of her new powers and her new "protector of the weaker monsters" role.
I hate the vampire politics; Richard has become painful to read about as has her "best friend, Ronnie, and dolph." Way too many deep conversations and semi erotic descriptions of men.

Warning sex and graphic violence.
