I enjoyed this book, but now it's over. My urge to read thriller non fiction has been satisfied, probably for a few years.
I was interested, but not blown away. Is that because thrillers have gotten so much more exciting in the past 20 years, since this book came out? I will find out. I checked out the first 4 episodes of the first season of 24 from the library yesterday. Weirdly enough, I just now connected my strange sudden attraction to fictional thrillers to each other. Hmmm... I wonder what it means.
I also had a dream the night before last that my husband was arrested for attempted rape, after I fell asleep reading this book. I should really apologize to him, because he's far from a rapist. He would much, much more likely launder money or something. Maybe blackmail, extortion...but not rape. Then it turned out he was into all sorts of bad stuff. I visited him in prison a few times. I think he was a mobster. Then I went to church. I was mad, because he's always gone with the military and I take the kids to church alone, trying to keep them from running up and down the aisles, and now THIS? Now he goes to prison and I have to take them to church alone every week for years and years? It was just unacceptable.
My dead Grandma Jean once read this during a layover at the airport. I still remember her saying it was exciting and she liked it. That is the reason I held on to it all these years, planning to eventually read it. I actually deeply connect her with this novel, somehow. Strange, right? I am so in touch with my ancestors.

I love John Grisham, his books are always fast. This was the first book that I read of his for a college english course. I can't remember her reason. OH yeah because he is a southern writer. I live in the south. I think what was most fun was he passes through NW FL and describes places I know around here. Enjoy!

I already stayed up too late last night reading this book. :-) Now I am debating cleaning the house (it's such a disaster) or taking my kids in the park to play while I watch them. (By "watch", I mean, "read my book".)
I want to rent the movie. However! Where do I get that movie now? Blockbuster and Hollywood Video are all out of business around me. Redbox doesn't have it. I don't want to sign up for a subscription to Netflix to rent just one movie. Oh my heck! I am completely out of options. I suddenly miss Hollywood Video. And I thought Redbox was so dang awesome, at only $1 a night. What have I done? I put the actual movie store out of business, and now I can never see a movie older than 5 years released again!!
